myGwork Partner with Rapport Guest Services in Support of World AIDS Day Red Run

October 27, 2022

We are thrilled to announce that myGwork will be partnering with Rapport Guest Services to raise money for Positive East via the Red Run, a charity event to increase awareness and support for HIV organizations.

The Red Run is a charity fun run which has been taking place for the past thirteen years. Over the years, it has grown to become one of the UK's largest community events raising money for HIV charities, raising over £650,000, which has gone directly to supporting people living with HIV and prevention work.

The event is arranged by Positive East, a London-based non-profit organization that provides support for people living with HIV, from the moment of their diagnosis to any long-term care they might need. With over 30 years of tackling stigma and offering support, Positive East is one of the city’s largest community-based HIV charities.

The World AIDS Red Run Day will take place on 26 November at Victoria Park, London. With a registration fee of £25, participants can run the full 10k or walk 5k in support of the incredible work that HIV charities continue to contribute. With 15 HIV charities involved in the event this year, those involved can select which organization they wish to support in the run. Since its creation in 2009, tens of thousands of people have attended the Red Run, doing their bit to provide moral and financial support for those living with HIV and AIDS.

As part of our partnership and in support of the event and the exceptional work the charities carry out, Rapport Guest Services and myGwork are offering to fully pay for 30 spaces in this year’s Red Run to raise money for Positive East and their vital ongoing work. “We are delighted to be working with Rapport Guest Services in support of the Red Run and the incredible work Positive East do,” said Adrien Gaubert, co-founder and CMO at myGwork. HIV has had such a profound impact on the LGBTQ+ community throughout history and even to this day. It's more important than ever to show support and solidarity with those living with HIV and to continue to challenge the stigma they face.”

With 100% of the proceeds going to charity, participants will be offered a Red Run t-shirt, a tote bag, a finishing medal, a free coffee and more by signing up for the event. Despite the medical and societal progress made in recent years, there is still a lot of stigma and shame attached to living with HIV and AIDS. At myGwork, we are passionate about showing solidarity with those on the receiving end of this stigma and are proud to partner with Rapport Guest Services to support people living with HIV and to help push for better access to sexual health services for all.
