After revealing the cast nearly a year ago, Netflix has just dropped the first official teaser trailer for its highly-anticipated, live-action adaptation of Alice Oseman's beloved romantic, gay teen coming-of-age graphic novel series Heartstopper.

The streamer also finally announced when we'll be able to watch all of the queer cuteness unfold on our small screens and it's a lot sooner than we were thinking, which is going to be a good thing because we already know we're probably going to be instantly hooked just from the teaser alone.
“Boy meets boy. Boys become friends. Boys fall in love,” the show's official description reads. “When gentle Charlie and rugby-loving Nick meet at secondary school, they quickly discover that their unlikely friendship is blossoming into an unexpected romance. Charlie, Nick, and their circle of friends must navigate the ever-relatable journey of self-discovery and acceptance, supporting each other as they learn to find their most authentic selves.”
According to Out, Heartstopper premieres April 22 on Netflix. You can watch the official teaser here.
