Next month London welcomes a brand new LGBTQ+ night, LOOSE CHANGE. Taking place on Saturday 7th May, the cause-centred inclusive night out will be hosted at Tipsy Bar.
All ticket sales from the first event will support the national trans-led charity Gendered Intelligence, which works to improve the lives of trans and non-binary people in the UK, with following events to support other LGBTQ+ related causes.
The theme for the night is Wonderland and will also feature guest DJ, Wayne David, who regularly plays at The Bridge and Eagle. Launched by four London-based friends the night will be a celebration of all things weird, bringing together community and raising money for a cause close to the founder’s hearts,
"The four of us love to throw a party, and so decided to channel that into something positive by supporting causes and communities that we care about. And we decided to theme each night because everybody loves a look!” shares Matt Horwood, LOOSE CHANGE co-founder.

"In terms of who we wanted to support first, it was a no-brainer to choose a charity that supports trans and non-binary people. Trans people continue to face violence and vitriol at the hands of both our media and our so-called "leaders". It's essential that we do all we can to support individuals and organisations whose excellent work seeks to combat that, and Gendered Intelligence does just that!
We're thrilled so many people agree and have gotten behind us to support GI with the night, and are especially grateful to our DJ Wayne David and photographer Harry Elletson who are both volunteering their time for free on the night. If anybody else is interested in lending their time and/or skills to support future events, we would love to hear from you!
The theme for our first party, on 7 May, is Wonderland. Think enchanted forest, circus chic, fairies and all things mythical. And of course, Alice and co! Dress-up is obviously not mandatory, but we really look forward to seeing all the looks we have no doubt will be turned on the night!"
