New Poll Finds Majority of Tory Party Members Would Want Donald Trump as British PM

A new YouGov poll from Dispatches has found a majority of Conservative Party members would support Donald Trump as the British Prime Minister.

A survey of 892 Tory members found many of them thought Trump was “refreshing” and that “he doesquite a lot of good in certain areas.”

54 percent would support him as PM. The survey also found 56 percent thought Islam was a threat to the UK, 42 percent thought multiculturalism damaged British society, and 49 percent did not think schools should teach LGBT-inclusive lessons.

46 percent also believed many reports on climate change were greatly exaggerated, and a majority of them wanted to bring back the death penalty.

Tory members back up 0.2 percent of the British population, half are over the age of 65, 71 percent are male, and 97 percent are white.
