At JCDecaux, inclusion goes beyond the workplace, it’s a commitment to families and communities too. That’s why their employee resource groups, Pride Matters and Care Matters, have joined forces to create the Pride in Carers Series: a set of events designed to inspire, inform, and empower parents, carers, and allies in supporting LGBTQIA+ children and families.
With more young people from Gen Z openly identifying under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella, creating compassionate, understanding, and inclusive family spaces has never been more important. The Pride in Carers Series offers exactly that: opportunities to learn, share, and connect with others navigating similar experiences.
The series begins on Wednesday 10 September at 4pm with a panel discussion on LGBTQIA+ parents and families, exploring the joys, challenges, and unique dynamics of family life, from chosen families and supportive networks to inclusive structures that help families thrive.
On Friday 12 September at 10am, the conversation turns to navigating LGBTQIA+ topics with children. This webinar offers practical guidance and strategies to help parents, carers, and allies feel confident in having meaningful, age-appropriate discussions that foster empathy, curiosity, and understanding.
Finally, on Tuesday 19 September at 10:30am, a live discussion hosted with Just Like Us focuses on raising kind kids who embrace difference with compassion and open hearts. Real-life stories from ambassadors and colleagues serve as powerful reminders of the role we all play in shaping an inclusive future.
Through initiatives like these, JCDecaux demonstrates that inclusion isn’t just a corporate goal, it’s about building stronger communities The Pride in Carers Series champions spaces where LGBTQIA+ families are recognised, supported, and celebrated.
