NYC Closes Anti-LGBT+ Field Hospital, Franklin Graham Says “We Will All Die” Anyway

Franklin Graham’s charity Samaritan’s Purse will close their field hospital set up in Central Park. The faculty required for all staff to sign an affidavit condemning people from the LGBT+ community and refused any LGBT+ volunteers.

New York City Council speaker Corey Johnson stated that “It is time for Samaritan’s Purse to leave New York City. This group, which is led by the notoriously bigoted, hate-spewing Franklin Graham, came at a time when our city couldn’t in good conscience turn away any offer of help. That time has passed. Their continued presence here is an affront to our values of inclusion, and is painful for all New Yorkers who care deeply about the LGBTQ community.

“I am aware that our battle against COVID-19 is still ongoing, and that our health care system – and the amazing workers who have been the heroes of this unprecedented time in our history – still needs support. At the City Council, we are committed to supporting those workers and protecting our city’s public health. But as a city that values diversity and compassion for all, we cannot continue to allow a group with the track record of Samaritan’s Purse to remain here when we are past the point they are needed.”

Graham seemed to ignore the dangers of the coronavirus when he started to compare it to heart disease and cancer, although neither of the two are infectious, and argued that since everyone eventually dies, liberals want to tank the economy to harm Trump’s chances of re-election.

“I agree that COVID-19 may be around for a while—human coronavirus has already been around in some form for many years,” Graham posted on social media. “But as a nation and as individuals, we have to learn to live with pandemics, whether it’s coronavirus or any other. We can’t hide in a cave until the world is free from every virus or threat.

“One thing is 100% certain—we will all die. Each one of us will have to meet death.”

As ‘LGBTQ Nation’ reports, while the hospital is closing, Graham posted that Democrats and the media are hyping the virus to harm President Donald Trump’s chances of re-election.

“Many in the left-leaning media want to project the worse-case scenarios relating to COVID-19,” Graham said. “It makes great headlines for them—and it produces fear in the public.

“No matter how negative the reports are from the media and liberal politicians who want to use the coronavirus to destroy President Donald J. Trump, if we put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ, we don’t have to be afraid. God made us. He has a plan and a purpose for our lives, and He knows the number of our days.”
