The 10th Gay Games had their opening ceremony in Paris over the weekend, according to Reuters.
The Games are an LGBT-friendly version of the Olympics, first held in San Francisco in 1982. The event brings some 12,700 LGBT+ athletes together from 91 different countries to celebrate solidarity, strength, and unity.
The games even include athletes from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Russia were homosexuality is either outright illegal or heavily discriminated against.
