Anna Camp, known for her role in ‘Pitch Perfect’, has been enjoying life since coming out earlier this year. During an interview with PRIDE she discussed how positively people have reacted since she came out, while promoting her new film Bride Hard with costar Rebel Wilson.
According to ‘Out’, Camp expressed her gratitude, saying, “It's been really wonderful to be so welcomed and so supported, especially by my really beautiful [and] wonderful friend here,” referring to Wilson. She added, “Life is an evolution, and I'm very happy where I am today.”
She publicly came out earlier this year during an interview with a social media reporter, where she and her girlfriend, Jade Whipkey, were present. When asked what they expect from a guy on a first date, Camp, 42, gestured to Whipkey and answered: “Well, I don't expect anything from a guy anymore, because I'm dating a woman, and it's great.”
Camp’s decision to come out follows in the footsteps of her Pitch Perfect costar Wilson, who came out in 2022 and later married her wife, Ramona Agruma.
Wilson reminisced about her iconic “lesbi honest” joke from the first ‘Pitch Perfect’ film, noting that she secretly wondered if she might be the gay one. “Surprise! All the Bellas are gay now! Everyone's gay,” she quipped. She recalled a meaningful conversation on the set of Pitch Perfect 2, where many of the female cast members openly discussed their sexualities. “It was such a kind, honest, open chat. It really meant a lot to me that day on set.”
