P!nk makes defiant statement of trans solidarity during FireAid concert

At a recent aid concert for Los Angeles wildfire victims, singer P!nk delivered a heartfelt message of support to trans individuals across the United States.

According to ‘Yahoo! Entertainment’, P!nk, who also performed at the event, was introducing John Mayer when she said, “Ladies, and gentlemen, and every other gender that absolutely exists... I give you, the incredible John Mayer!”

These remarks referred to one of President Trump’s executive orders named “Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government.” This directive asserts that the federal government will recognise sex strictly as male or female, grounded in “the immutable biological reality of sex.”

The FireAid concerts were organised to generate funds for those impacted by the recent Los Angeles wildfires, which resulted in 29 fatalities and burned over 50,000 acres, as reported by the California Wildfire Incidents page.

During her performance, P!nk addressed the audience, saying: “If you're hurting, I'm hurting with you. My heart is with you." She added, "I'm going to keep my feet on the ground tonight. And I'm going to sing a couple of songs that bring me comfort. And I hope that they do the same for you all.”

Other artists who took the stage included Billie Eilish, Green Day, Joni Mitchell, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Stevie Nicks, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Gracie Abrams.
