Sam Smith & Madonna Team Up To Release ‘Vulgar’ Single During Pride

After being forced to end his tour early due to a vocal cord injury, Sam Smith is jumping back into the limelight by teaming up with legendary pop icon Madonna.

Smith and Madonna have collaborated on a new single that’s set to be released during Pride Month!

According to ‘Pride’, their brand new single is called ‘Vulgar’ and will be released on June 9. But beyond the name and release date we know very little about the new track.

The pop duo has been very cryptic about the collaboration, but today we got our first real taste of what the vibe of the song might be. On May 31 Madonna released artwork for the track across her social media. It features the image of two tightly cinched black and white corsets with S&M emblazoned across (in a cheeky play on their initials).

Madonna captioned the image,”VULGAR………….new song out Friday June 9th @samsmith.”

Smith first teased the new single at their “Gloria the Tour” show in Manchester, England, where the singer told fans they had a “surprise.” Sadly because the performance was cut short when they got a vocal cord injury the audience never got a taste of the new song.

On May 24 Smith continued to tease fans by posting a gif on social media of a black box that flashes “Sam” and “Madonna” while you hear the pair groaning their own names.

On top of the release of a hot new single, Madonna is gearing up for her Celebration Tour which will see the ‘Like a Prayer’ singer globe trotting as she looks back on four decades of hit songs. And in case that wasn’t enough to get you to snap up tickets, RuPaul’s Drag Race season 8 winner Bob the Drag Queen will be a special guest on the tour.
