Softcat: Celebrating LGBTQ+ History Month

February is UK LGBTQ+ History Month, and we are proud to be celebrating the lives and achievements of the LGBTQ+ community. 🏳️‍🌈

📅 This month is a chance for us to #connect, promote inclusivity and acceptance, and celebrate the diversity that makes our community strong and vibrant!

What are we up to for LGBTQ+ History Month?

🗣️ A range of staff sessions are planned to raise awareness of the history and LGBTQ+ community, including a talk from Stonewall charity.

🤝 Our chosen theme this year is “The Experiences of LGBTQ+ Young People.” That's why we are partnering with akt, a charity supporting LGBT+ young people aged 16-25 in the UK facing homelessness or living in hostile environments.

Our Pride (LGBT+) Network and akt will host an online session for all staff, discussing issues affecting young people in the LGBT+ community.

🌈 Look out for us at National Student Pride, on Saturday 11th February. This is our first time attending and we're looking forward to being a part of the UK's largest LGBTQ+ student event and careers fair!
