Eighteen Employee Networks and a Studio Lot: Sony Pictures Is Hiring in Culver City and São Paulo

Most companies run five or six employee networks. Sony Pictures Entertainment runs eighteen. The studio behind Columbia Pictures, TriStar, Screen Gems, Sony Pictures Animation and Crunchyroll is a myGwork partner with 68 live roles on our platform, including two internships.

OUT, and OUT EMEA

Sony Pictures calls its networks Employee Business Resource Groups, and the LGBTQ+ one is OUT @ Sony Pictures, described as a forum for supporting and celebrating the LGBTQ+ community and its allies. Crucially, it is not a single US group with a global mailing list — there is a separate OUT EMEA @ Sony Pictures chapter with its own regional footing.

The full roster is genuinely unusual in its granularity: AGENDA for gender equality, Asian Community Empowerment, Black Employees, Caregivers, DESI, Embrace, Emerging Professionals, MENA, Spotlight, VETS, Voz, Women in Technology, WAVE and WAVE APAC, Belong, and the Anime Fan Collective, alongside OUT and OUT EMEA. Eighteen groups means the odds of finding one that fits your actual life, rather than a rough approximation of it, are considerably better than average.

On the external record, Sony Pictures scored 95 out of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign's 2026 Corporate Equality Index, with full marks in three of the four scored categories: workforce protections, inclusive benefits, and outreach and engagement. The inclusive benefits score of 50 out of 50 is the meaningful one — under HRC's methodology, that category cannot be maxed without equivalent partner coverage regardless of the gender of your spouse, and health insurance without transgender exclusions.

Emerging Talent, and it is paid

Sony Pictures runs its early-careers work under one brand, Emerging Talent Programs, across Culver City, Miami, New York, Chicago, Toronto and London. Both tracks are paid.

Interns join in spring, summer or autumn sessions — part-time during term in the US and Canada, full-time over the summer, and in the UK as year-long placements typically starting in July. Trainees is a US-only track, full-time, for recent graduates and entry-level talent looking for specialised craft training rather than general exposure. Sony Pictures Television additionally runs a Diverse Directors Program, shadowing established television directors across series episodes, and Sony Pictures Imageworks and Sony Pictures Animation run their own separate internships.

• Culver City, California — the world headquarters and a working studio lot, with on-site gym, medical centre and subsidised childcare. Current openings span motion picture finance, financial planning and analysis, and legal affairs
• São Paulo, Brazil — the Plaza Centenário offices housing motion pictures, distribution, television and home entertainment, plus Floresta, Sony Pictures Television's Brazilian production arm behind Shark Tank Brasil, Top Chef Brasil, Dona Beja and Luz
• London, Toronto, New York, Chicago and Miami — additional Emerging Talent locations
• Early careers — two live internships now, within a paid programme running three intakes a year
