Super Bowl Has First Ever Male Cheerleaders

For the first time in Super Bowl history, two men performed as a part of the cheerleading squad, supporting their team the LA Rams, the LA Times reports.

Quinton Peron and Napolean Jinnies became the first ever male Super Bowl cheerleaders on Sunday night, both saying the experience had been an “upwards journey of excitement.”

“Whatever has been out there we’ve been able to take it, because we know who has our backs,” Person added, explaining that any negativity the pair received they were both able to overcome.

“Our family has our backs, our girls have our backs and the city of LA, they’ve got us.”

“I want to prove that boys can dance, too,” Person said in a 2018 interview. “After college we’re not given a choice or a chance to do anything after. We’re, like, just told to get a 9-to-5 job and that’s it, but that doesn’t work for me!

“I am an artist, I am a creative person… and we can do it, we can hang with the girls!”
