Trump Thanks Karen Pence for Teaching at An Anti-Gay School

President Donald Trump took a moment to thank Karen Pence for returning to teach at an anti-LGBT+ school during the yearly National Prayer Breakfastyesterday, reports CNN.

Karen Pence, wife of Vice President Mike Pence, has drawn controversary for deciding to return to teaching art at the Immanuel Christian Schoolwhich explicitly forbids gay students. On their website it states admission will be refused to those who take part in “sexual immorality, homosexual activity or bisexual activity.”

This policy also extends to the hiring of their staff, they reserve the right to fire any teachers who exhibit “homosexual or lesbian sexual activity, polygamy, transgender identity.”

“By the way, I’ve gotten to know Karen so well,” Trump said at the breakfasthosted by members of Congress and the Christian organisation The Fellowship Foundation.

“She’s a marine corps mom, a tremendous woman, a proud supporter of military families and she just recently went back to teaching art classes at a Christian school. Thank you: Thank you, Karen,”he continued.
