Trump’s New Senior Legal Adviser Considers HIV As “God’s Moral Law”
January 9, 2020Jenna Ellis, Donald Trump’s new senior legal advisor, has a long history of homophobia and anti-LGBT+ activism, including defence of conversion therapy, according to the ‘Advocate’.
“Christians cannot follow God and accept or condone or participate in homosexuality or adulterous behavior,” Ellis wrote on Facebook two years ago.
She has also said gay and bisexual men have high rates of HIV because “we cannot escape God’s moral law and His supremacy.”
Recently, while talking about Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg and his Christian faith, she said: “If Pete Buttigieg is going to invoke the name of his Creator, he should read for himself what his Creator says about homosexuality in the Bible. Truth doesn’t change, regardless of the culture or the Dems’ [sic] identity politics.”
Ellis is a right-wing news expert and former constitutional law attorney. According to ‘The Daily Beast’ Trump was impressed by her appearances on ‘Fox News’ and told an associate that “she gets it”. Ellis, has “quickly gone from relative obscurity to talking directly with the president about politics and impeachment.”
