Twenty-Five Internships and Counting: WTW Is Hiring From Chicago to Sydney

Risk advisory and insurance broking is not the first sector most graduates think of, which is exactly why it is worth a look. WTW, a myGwork partner, has 516 live roles on our platform — and unusually, 25 of them are internships, alongside three early-careers positions. Seven networks, and the Equality 100 Award

WTW runs seven colleague inclusion networks: LGBT+, Gender Equity, Multicultural, Workability, Veterans, Caregivers, and Early Career Professionals. The last of those matters if you are joining at the start of your career — it means there is a structured community for people in your position rather than an expectation that you find your own way.

The firm earned the Equality 100 Award in the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's 2025 Corporate Equality Index, scoring a full 100. It has hit that mark repeatedly, including on the 2023–24 index. WTW is also a former Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index member and a Disability Confident Employer.

Miles Russell, WTW's Head of External Communication and executive sponsor for its Global LGBTQ+ Inclusion Network, put the recognition in the right terms when the 2025 award was announced: it is "testament to the company's focus on ensuring a sense of belonging and a safe space for members of the LGBTQ+ community."

On day-to-day practice, WTW encourages everyone to use colleagues' pronouns — in its own words, to create an atmosphere of inclusivity, respect and belonging.

The early-careers offer, in detail

WTW does not bundle its early-careers work under one brand. Instead there are internships, graduate programmes, UK apprenticeships and placements, plus two insight programmes designed to let you look before you leap. Level Up with WTW is for undergraduates, running in person in Chicago and virtually in both the US and UK. Step Up with WTW is a two-day programme in Ipswich for Year 12 and college students — school-leaver access to a sector that usually recruits from a narrow set of universities.

UK graduate programmes typically run two years. The disciplines span actuarial science, consulting, investment, risk management and insurance, technology, economics, finance and human resources, across Health Wealth & Career, Risk & Broking, and Operations & Technology. Programmes run in North America, the UK and Ireland, the Philippines, India, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Indonesia.
