UK Black Pride confirms 2024 details
May 1, 2024UK Black Pride is set to grace the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park once more with another vibrant event this summer.
The organisation announced on Tuesday (23 April) that its 2024 gathering will return to the Stratford location for a third occasion. The event is scheduled for Sunday, 11 August 2024, from 12pm to 8pm, according to ‘Attitude’.
UK Black Pride has earned the distinction of being the world’s largest celebration for LGBTQI+ individuals of African, Asian, Caribbean, Latin American, and Middle Eastern descent. The theme for the 2024 event might be ‘Freedom and Justice,’ as hinted by UK Black Pride on Instagram, although this is not yet official.

Since its inception in 2005, the event has seen significant growth. What began as a small group journeying to Southend-on-Sea has blossomed into a massive festival that attracts thousands.
Phyll Opoku-Gyimah, the group’s CEO, expressed her excitement: "It is with such joy that we can announce our return to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park for the third year running. This venue is slowly becoming a perfect home for our event as it grows larger each year. As we reflect on previous years, we are planning to make this the biggest and the boldest UK Black Pride yet. We are currently working on this year’s theme, and we promise it will be a powerful one.”
The event will feature an array of performances, discussions, community stalls, and workshops. Calls for performers, community stall-holders, food and drink vendors, and workshop leaders to apply will be announced shortly.
