Univision Makes History With First Telenovela Staring a Gay Couple

For the first time ever in Univision’s history, a gay couple is to be the center of the new telenovela ‘El Corazón Nunca Se Equivoca’, which translates to ‘The Heart is Never Wrong’.

The Spanish language television network new telenovela is a spinoff of another popular telenovela, namely ‘Mi Marido Tiene Más Familia’ (My Husband Has More Family) with the fans favorite couple Cuauhtémoc (played by Joaquín Bondoni) and Aristóteles (played by Emilio Osorio, this time in a leading role.

The series is set to premiere today, August 13, in Univision.
