Ways Criteo empower women in the workplace & promote gender equality

March 2, 2026

I am Carol Myint, a Senior People Business Partner at Criteo and a BIPOC Leader for APAC, based in Singapore. I joined Criteo in 2018 and have had the opportunity to grow alongside the company, particularly in how we think about inclusion, equity, and belonging.

At Criteo, inclusion isn’t a standalone initiative, it’s part of how we work, how we make decisions, and how we show up for one another every day. Like any meaningful journey, it continues to evolve. Personally, I have learned that building inclusive environments requires constant reflection: unlearning, relearning, and staying open to the diverse perspectives that people bring. That’s what makes working in People functions both challenging and deeply rewarding.

Within this broader approach, empowering women and advancing gender equity are not separate priorities, they are naturally embedded in how we design our workplace, our programs, and our culture.

Embedding Gender Equity in Everyday Work

At Criteo, inclusion starts at the very beginning of everything we do. Whether we are planning a project, an event, or a new initiative, we instinctively consider representation and equity. The goal isn’t to “check” for diversity: it’s to make it an inherent part of how we operate, so much so that it becomes second nature.

Growing Through Shared Moments: International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day (IWD) reflects how far we’ve come in making inclusion visible, collective, and intentional.

When I first joined eight years ago, IWD was celebrated quietly: flowers in the pantry, shared among colleagues without much visibility. At the time, we didn’t yet have a dedicated DEI team or employee communities.

Today, inclusion is something we actively build together. We have a global DEI team across the US, EMEA, and APAC, alongside thriving employee-led Communities. IWD has grown into a moment that employees look forward to and actively shape, often asking in advance how they can get involved.

In 2025, we hosted events globally focused on career growth, leadership journeys, and open dialogue. These moments are not just celebrations: they are platforms that amplify voices, create visibility, and foster connection across the organisation.

Supporting Women Across Life Stages

Embedding inclusion also means recognising that employees’ needs evolve over time. Supporting women in the workplace includes creating an environment where different life stages, such as parenthood, are understood and supported.

At Criteo, we approach this as a workplace equity topic, not just a “women’s issue.” From conversations with mental health professionals on balancing caregiving and careers, to ensuring our offices include dedicated, hygienic nursing spaces, we aim to build systems that support employees holistically.

Inclusion Through an Intersectional Lens

Inclusion at Criteo is inherently intersectional. We recognize that experiences are shaped by multiple identities, and we aim to reflect that in our initiatives.

Through Pride activities across APAC, such as allyship-focused engagements in India and participation in community events like the Japan Pride Walk, we encourage learning, visibility, and support for LGBTQIA+ employees.

Our efforts also extend to disability inclusion. Through initiatives like Global Accessibility Awareness Day, we create space to challenge misconceptions, share lived experiences, and equip employees with practical ways to foster accessibility in their day-to-day work.

Building Cross-Cultural Understanding

Operating across diverse markets in APAC, we also embed inclusion in how we collaborate across cultures. Programs like the Culture Map initiative help teams better understand different working styles, build trust, and navigate cross-cultural dynamics with empathy and awareness.

Extending Inclusion Beyond the Workplace

Inclusion doesn’t stop within our offices. Through volunteering and community engagement initiatives, our employees contribute to advancing equity more broadly—reinforcing that inclusion is both an internal commitment and an external responsibility.

At Criteo, inclusion is not something we “add on”—it’s something we continuously build into how we work, grow, and support one another. It’s been inspiring to see how this mindset has strengthened over time, and I’m excited to see how it continues to evolve.
