On Saturday 5 September, Fiserv was proud to join the local LGBTQ+ community at Basildon Pride 2026 for a day centred on visibility, inclusion and community.
This year marked Fiserv's return to Basildon Pride as the event's main sponsor. With Fiserv based in Basildon, it was particularly meaningful to support Pride in the community we are part of.
Four Fiserv associates took part on the day, alongside partners and family members. Together, we joined the Pride parade through Basildon town centre behind our “We All Belong” banner, before heading to the festival at Basildon Sporting Village.
Throughout the afternoon, the Fiserv and Unity stand gave us the opportunity to meet people from across the community, share more about Fiserv and Unity, our LGBTQ+ employee resource group, and hand out plenty of Pride flags and rainbow goodies.
More importantly, it created opportunities for conversations and connections with people throughout the day.
“Pride events like Basildon Pride are always a reminder of just how much love and support exists within our local community. We had some really meaningful conversations throughout the day and made connections with people we might otherwise never have met. It also showed that you don’t necessarily have to go far to find community and support, which made being back at Pride in Basildon, where Fiserv is based, feel particularly special.
“Pride is a celebration, but it’s also a reminder of why events like this continue to matter. The visibility and freedoms many of us have today were made possible by the LGBTQ+ community and the allies who stood alongside it. Being able to come together, celebrate how far we’ve come and show that support for the next generation is incredibly important.”

For Unity, that sense of connection continues throughout the year. Fiserv's LGBTQ+ employee resource group works to strengthen inclusion and visibility, while creating opportunities for associates and allies to connect, learn and support one another.
Taking part in Basildon Pride gave Unity an opportunity to extend that work beyond the workplace and connect with the wider community.
The atmosphere throughout the day brought together the parade, community organisations, local businesses, entertainment and people from across Basildon and beyond.
A huge thank you goes to everyone at Basildon Pride who made the day possible, our partners who joined and supported us, and everyone who stopped by to say hello, have a conversation or simply share in the celebrations.
For Fiserv and Unity, “We All Belong” was more than a message on our banner. It captured what being part of Basildon Pride meant to us: showing up, making connections and helping create a community where everyone can feel they belong.
