Wonder Woman Has Jumped Into The Battle Over Trans Rights And She’s Not Holding Back
October 22, 2021Wonder Woman actress Lynda Carter is no stranger to battle. But this time, she’s fighting for transgender women – and acknowledging their super strength too.
“Trans women are Wonder Women,” Carter tweeted. “End of story.”
Carter, who had a cameo in the recent Wonder Woman 1984 movie, has been an LGBTQ+ ally for years, as LGBTQ Nation reports.
Earlier this month, she tweeted about a celebration of brown bears who are about to hibernate for the winter.
“I kept hearing about Fat Bear Week and thought it was a celebration of body positivity within a gay subculture,” she wrote. “It turns out it is about actual bears! Either way, I am here for it.”
While Twitter reacted with laughter, assuming the 70-year-old actress wouldn’t know about the bear subculture, she responded by saying she knows “how to speak gay.”
It’s a “required language when you’re training to be Wonder Woman,” she joked.
Actress Gal Gadot, who has taken over the role in the recent spate of movies, is also an LGBTQ+ ally.
