WorkPride 2026 Day 3 schedule: what can you gain from it?

May 27, 2026

Day Three of WorkPride 2026 looks at belonging through change, crisis, policy, and lived experience. The sessions focus on storytelling, resilience, practical policies, the realities of travel and transition, and the role of HR and future trends. It is a day for anyone who wants to deepen understanding across communities and connect inclusion work to real situations employees face.

11:30–12:00 BST – Inspirational Keynote: Belonging Through Change

Steve Izquierdo from RS Group opens Day Three with a keynote on how perspectives, experiences, and conversations can deepen understanding across diverse communities. The focus is on how storytelling, empathy, and dialogue can help shift workplace culture.

Attendees are invited to reflect on their own assumptions and consider where they have influence to support more inclusive environments. The session sets up the day by highlighting how individual attitudes and everyday conversations contribute to belonging during times of change.

12:00–13:00 BST – LGBTQ+ Belonging in Crisis

This panel looks at how to maintain LGBTQ+ inclusion and support when organisations or societies face crises. That might include restructuring, economic pressure, public health emergencies, or wider political and social instability.

Speakers will discuss ways to keep safety, trust, and support networks in place during uncertainty. The emphasis is on practical approaches you can apply in your own context to help sustain a sense of belonging when people are under pressure or unsure about the future.

13:00–14:00 BST – Storytelling as a Tool for Belonging

This session focuses on how sharing personal stories can build understanding and cohesion within teams. Speakers will talk about approaches for creating spaces where people feel able to share experiences in ways that feel safe and respectful.

The panel will also highlight how narratives can build empathy and support cultural change over time. Attendees can expect ideas for using stories in everyday work life, whether that is through conversations, internal events, or communication campaigns.

14:00–15:00 BST – Business Travel as LGBTIQA+

For many professionals, travel is part of the job. This panel examines what that looks like for LGBTIQA+ employees who move between regions and cultures with very different attitudes and laws.

Speakers will explore legal, safety, and cultural factors to think about before and during business trips. Attendees will hear strategies that can help them plan more inclusive travel policies and support individuals so they feel safer and more comfortable while travelling for work.

15:00–16:00 BST – Policy for Inclusive Belonging

This session looks at how formal policies can support inclusivity and equality in everyday practice. Panelists will discuss examples related to recruitment, benefits, anti-discrimination, and flexible working.

The focus is on how clear, well-designed policies can create a framework that supports fair treatment and a sense of belonging for LGBTQ+ employees and other groups. Attendees will leave with ideas for reviewing or strengthening policies in their own organisations.

16:00–17:00 BST – The Future of LGBTQ+ Belonging

This forward-looking session discusses how LGBTQ+ inclusion at work might evolve in the coming years. Panelists will consider technological developments, cultural shifts, and organisational changes that could shape the next decade of inclusion.

Participants will be encouraged to think creatively about future needs and possible solutions. The session offers space to step back from day-to-day challenges and consider where inclusion work might need to go next.

17:00–18:00 BST – HR’s Role in Belonging

Human Resources often sits at the centre of policies, processes, and people practices. This panel focuses on how HR can support employees’ sense of belonging across the employee lifecycle.

Speakers will share approaches for inclusive hiring, talent development, and retention, along with broader strategies for supporting culture change. Attendees will gain an overview of tools and practices HR can use to act as a driver of inclusion across the organisation.

18:00–19:00 BST – Veterans at Work: Service, Identity, and Inclusion

This panel highlights the experiences of veterans in civilian workplaces, including how service, identity, and transition intersect. Participants will hear firsthand stories from veteran employees about what has helped and what has made inclusion harder.

The discussion will include practical ideas for recognising prior service, supporting transition into new roles, and building environments where veterans feel respected and able to progress. It is relevant for HR, managers, and colleagues who want to better understand and support veteran staff.

19:00–20:00 BST – Social Hour

The day closes with a social hour designed as a relaxed, welcoming space for connection. Attendees can meet other participants, share reflections from the conference, and start building ongoing professional relationships.

The emphasis is on informal conversation and community in an inclusive setting, giving people time to connect beyond formal panels and presentations.
