We are delighted to announce we have received support from The Big Lottery Fund to run a project that will provide support to trans including non-binary people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland
The big aims of the project, which will run for a period of 3 years, are to:
- Provide a community hub
- Reduce social isolation
- Promote health, wellbeing and resilience
- Support families and relationships
- Tackle hostility and discrimination
- Increase understanding and awareness in the wider community
- Promote joined up working with other agencies
We want to make sure the project is delivered in a way which supports the needs of the community and would really like to hear your thoughts on how we should achieve these big aims.
We will be holding a consultation workshop on 18th November to provide the opportunity for you to find out more about the project and capture your thoughts.
Details of the event and how to book are provided below:
- We welcome attendance principally from trans including non-binary and gender questioning people, but also families and people working closely with or supporting the trans community.
- Attendees are welcome from regions and organisations outside of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. We want to capture as much learning and experience from the wider community as possible.
- Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
- As a charity with limited funds, we are unable to reimburse travel costs.
