The promotion of Equal Opportunities and the avoidance of discriminatory practices bullying and harassment within the work place is or ought to be of critical importance to everyone in business today. New and changing law, and the changing composition of the labour market has led to significant increases in those areas in which any form of discrimination is unlawful. Managers and workers must be aware of the benefits, and of the legal requirements, of promoting Equal Opportunities for all in the work place, and the dangers of failing to do so.

Bill Templeton, RPL Employment Law.

Following a successful career in private practice and a short spell in the public sector and in industry, Bill has acted as managing director and principal consultant for RPL Partnership Ltd from the formation of the business in 1992 to date.

Results orientated consultant with more than 35 years’ experience in virtually every business sector, from retail to leisure, electronics, engineering, construction and the professions. He has also worked with a number of public sector and charitable organisations. Accomplished Manager, Employment Law and Health and Safety Specialist. Since 1992, Bill has provided regular clients with a dedicated “Advice Line” service on Employment Law and Health and Safety at Work. He also provides Employment Tribunal representation, having conducted in excess of 400 during the last 25 years, dealing with, among others, unfair dismissal, unlawful discrimination TUPE and equal pay. Bill provides bespoke training in a number of areas including employment law, equality and diversity, managing absence, dealing with difficult employees and a number of Health and Safety at Work areas including Risk Assessment, for clients in both the public and private sectors.
