Transition Houses are temporary, safe places for LGBT refugees in Kenya. They provide training, transport, help with finding work/relocation, or reconcilliation with families and communities back home. While LGBT people can still face 14 years in prison for their sexuality, Kenya is seen as a safer country than many in East Africa.

Come and join us for a very special evening with speakers including an LGBT woman from Zimbabwe who has recently gone through the asylum process in the UK, hear about the work of Amnesty LGBTI UK, watch a powerful video about the experiences of a lesbian in Kenya - hopefully we will also have a live Q&A with her and her Transition House colleague in Kenya via Skype! Other speakers/entertainment tbc.

There will also be FREE nibbles, a cash bar and a raffle - this is a fundraising evening after all, so please bring cash and give generously!
