New York Transgender Advocacy Group's Purple Party
In honor of LGBTQ Pride month, the New York Transgender Advocacy Group (NYTAG) is hosting a special reception, The Purple Party, to showcase and celebrate all their accomplishments in advancing the lives of those who identify as Transgender and Gender-Nonconforming throughout New York. NYTAG will also be celebrating the launch of their new website and sharing the programming agenda with our community.
While the event is free, we will be accepting donations. All donations will go towards our Advocate Training Program that teaches individuals to lobby for legistation that supports and protects those who identify as TGNC. It will also support our Community Advisory Group (CAG) which brings Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming New Yorkers together to learn how to become advocates in changing their own conditions through self-care, wellness, and policy change.

The New York Transgender Advocacy Group (NYTAG) is a Trans-led, policy driven, social justice and advocacy organization dedicated to the empowerment of multi-racial, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer people, including people living with HIV/AIDS and other chronic illnesses.
NYTAG’s mission is to address social determinants such as racism, anti-TGLBQIA (Transgender, Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Queer/Questioning, Intersex/Intergender, Assexual) bias and stigma, healthcare and economic (equity) disparity.
