THE RETREAT
A full day retreat for gay and queer men to disconnect from the hustle and bustle and reconnect with themselves.
This is a space for you to come back to yourself through trust, presence and embodiment, and we're thrilled to bring you a day of community, connection and holistic practices designed for deep transformation, lasting change and lifelong connections.
THE THEME
The theme of this day is letting go. Letting your hair down, letting your guard down, and just being you!
Often enough, gay and queer men can second guess themselves, or feel apprehensive about meeting other men in the community. A lot of us have spent years reading the room before we walk into it, adjusting how we speak, how we move and how much of ourselves we show, and that armour can stop us showing up as who we really are, loveable and incredible human beings.
This is a moment for you to see and be seen. There's no one to be and nothing to 'get right' to feel accepted in this space. Through breath, movement and sound we'll gently work with the nervous system, giving the body a chance to feel safe enough to soften, and from there it becomes a lot easier to connect, with yourself and with the people around you.
Together we'll co-create a sense of community and togetherness through this work, while allowing you to go deep within yourself.
Whether you've done breathwork before or this is your first time, and whether you're coming with a friend or on your own (lots of people do), you're very welcome. It'd be great to see you leave with some new connections, a few practices you can bring into your day to day, and more ease and joy in your life.
This full day of practice and community building also allows for deeper transformation and connection, beyond what a traditional event or workshop can offer, and we're so excited to share it with you!
THE FLOW
FACILITATORS
Breathwork & Sound · Founder of The Breath Manifest
I'm Ryan, a Breathwork Practitioner and Coach and the founder of The Breath Manifest.
My approach blends conscious connected breathwork, sound healing, evidence-based breath techniques and practical coaching to help people move out of chronic stress and back into balance. Before breathwork, I spent over a decade in the media industry, climbing the corporate ladder and burning out along the way. I was craving presence, nature, real-world community and a sense of peace, and that became the foundation of everything I now teach. I've worked with 100+ clients worldwide, and I host events and retreats for queer communities and allies across London and Asia.
Professional Chef
Hi, I'm Niku, and I'll be cooking for you on the day.
My love of food started perched on my mum's kitchen counter. Growing up Persian-British in London, cooking became my first real connection to my roots and to my grandmother, a woman who cherished tradition but was always eager to experiment. Those family recipes are threads of my heritage, and a way of honouring the women who taught me that food is love. Today I cook Persian-inspired food with my own soulful twists, drawing on all the flavours London has opened me up to. For me, food is warmth and home, and I love creating dishes that bring people together around a table.
Meditation Teacher & Founder of Adam's Mind Body Method
I'm Adam, a London-based meditation and breathwork teacher and the founder of Adam's Mind Body Method.
Adam is a London-based meditation and breathwork teacher and the founder of Adam's Mind Body Method. A trauma-aware breathwork facilitator with over a decade of experience as a bodyworker, he specialises in down-regulation, gently guiding the nervous system out of stress and back into rest. Having navigated his own experiences of anxiety, OCD and insomnia, he brings real empathy and compassion to his work with 1:1 clients. At the retreat, Adam will guide the group through simple but profoundly effective down-regulating breathwork, followed by a meditation on presence, self-love and community — a chance to slow down, soften and reconnect with yourself.
