The TFA-NY Alumni Association presents Who’s In Your Classroom, a workshop for celebrating identity and empowering vulnerability.

This workshop is for educators and other professionals to learn how they can be productive allies of transgender and gender-nonconforming youth—especially those who are students NYC schools.

Programming includes full- and small-group workshops led by trans* and cis professionals advocating for and working with trans* students, including speakers from:

- The New York City Department of Education and Office of the Mayor,

- Speak About It, which brings consent and sexual assault prevention education to youth, and

- Destination Tomorrow, a grassroots agency in the South Bronx providing services to the LGBTQ community.

Be part of the conversation and learn how you can support trans and gender-nonconforming youth in schools and the community.

This workshop is part of the Teach For America – New York Alumni Association 2018-19 event series.
