The Iris Prize Festival showcases the very best in LGBT+ filmmaking, celebrating the excellence and breadth of LGBT+ storytelling here in the UK and beyond. The Iris Prize is also unique in its support of filmmakers, awarding the world’s largest LGBT+ short film prize, allowing the winner to make a new film. Amongst this programme of remarkable, award-winning films we see LGBT+ stories of love, loss, tragedy and joy. But most importantly, they showcase some of the best short filmmaking happening currently – films exceptional in any context.
Bolton International Film Festival has curated six of the best films from IRIS for a programme to be shown at the Albert Halls as part of the three day film festival.
