Time to Par-Tea in Glasgow with Hidayah LGBTQI
Happy New Year! Hidayah will be kicking off 2023 with an in-person event in a Glasgow tearoom (exact location TBC*).
We would absolutely love to see you there. Our event will involve:
- A guided tour of the building
- A simple stencilling workshop
- An afternoon tea with hot drinks and cake
- Complementary access to the tearoom's exhibition
* Many of our members aren't visible, which is why we will only be disclosing the location to those who sign up. We will not be photographing or filming anyone without their permission. Whatever level of participation you're comfortable with is good with us.
Hidayah’s mission is to provide support and welfare for LGBTQIA+ Muslims, promote social justice and education about our community to counter discrimination, prejudice, and injustice, and create a safe and sustainable community with a long-lasting impact. Hidayah is a secular organisation, but its projects and activities are developed specifically for the needs of LGBTQI+ Muslims. Our vision is to ensure our voices are heard and understood. We are a mix of practicing and non-practicing Muslims. However, we warmly welcome friends, families, and allies to our events.
Tickets are £5 each. This allows us to keep doing events like this, while also securing your place at the event. However, we are keen to ensure our services are as inclusive as possible, so if the cost is a barrier to you and you still want to attend, please email Deenah on [email protected].
