This workshop will provide you with tools to: identify shame, recognize shaming behavior, and transcend shame. The class will be presented by Gloria Jackson-Nefertiti, who, until recently, believed there was something inherently shameful about her because of being a Black Bisexual femme woman with mental illness.
This workshop gives participants the opportunity to: understand the meaning of shame; gain awareness of shaming phrases and behaviors that are commonly used; recognize when they are being shamed; and learn ways to confront others who shame them.\
This class is offered on a sliding scale: $0 to $45 donations.
Scholarship tickets are available if you are unable to make any donation.
No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
