2018 marks the 150th year anniversary of the TUC. From the suffrage struggles in the early 1900’s and the right to vote, to the free school movement, the formation of the NHS and even the creation of a political party to represent working people, the TUC and the trade unions have been at the heart of change for working people and their families across Britain.

During 2018, there will be a programme of events and activities across the country that celebrate all that the trade union movement has achieved whilst looking to the future of trade unionism and the workers struggle.

The TUC Northern Equalities Conference is one of our major anniversary events taking place in the North East.
