Free screening of a documentary about the groundbreaking Black Lesbian and Gay Centre that was based in Peckham.

33 years ago a group of activists came together with one aim – to open a centre for the BME LGBT community in London. Against the backdrop of 1980s politics, Thatcherism, and burgeoning gay rights, 'Under Your Nose' celebrates those trailblazing human rights workers whose political legacy is still apparent today.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmaker and organisers of the centre.

This event is being hosted jointly by Southwark LGBT Network and Southwark Archives as part of the programme for Black History Month 2018.
