Join Lia James and Christopher Guest as they discuss solutions and best practices for building a diverse pipeline, hiring diverse candidates, and retention of underrepresented individuals. They will dive into the impact individual contributors can have on the shape a team takes regardless if you are in HR or not.
Christopher Guest has a career that spans across a variety of industries; beginning in the arts, then through customer service, political campaign management, and now has found a home in tech. As a national talent specialist, he has travelled the US speaking on diversity, inclusion, equity and belonging. He currently works as a Technical Talent Acquisition Specialist at Trunk Club, a Nordstrom company. He lives in Chicago with his partner and dog. He is an amateur podcaster and enjoys road trips, astrophotography, and board games.
Lia James leads Growth & Strategy for human predictions. She leads with over 10 years experience in people development, business growth, and personal branding. Lia works with teams to improve talent acquisition, onboarding, and team training to increase retention. She has worked with close to 1,000 leaders and career changers to fine tune their brands through storytelling and goal aligning with a focus on advancing underrepresented folks in tech. Lia is a life-obsessed nomad with an affection for woodworking who recently traded her physical address for a suitcase.
