The event is FREE, but for Health and Safety reasons we do ask that all attendees register their attendance, this allows us trackapproximate number of attendees. Registering your attendance will ensure we can keep you updated with all our plans and have sufficient stewards and first aiders available.
The purpose of the event is to provide the people of West Lothian with an opportunity to celebrate and support lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people within our local community.
Come along to our Pride Village at West Lothian College, Livingston to soak up the carnival atmosphere and join us for a fun filled day of marching, guest speakers, live entertainment and much more.
The pride village will be open from 1.00pm and you can browse the information stalls and stock up all Pride essentials (flags, whistles, garlands etc) prior to the march. All participants are encouraged to dress up, bring along their own banners etc, to ensure we have a colourful West Lothian Pride.
Programme of Events
13:00 Pride Village opens
13:20 Speeches, raising of the Rainbow and Trans Flags and pre-march safety briefing
13:35 Rendevzous at college main entrance for start of the march
13:45 March commences at the college main entrance and will pass through the town centre
14:45 March arrives back at the college
14:50 Background music within the entertainment marquee and various stalls open
15:15 Live event entertainment commences
19:30 Event closes
20:00 Pride After Party (Over 18's only) - Feranti Suites, Livingston Football Stadium
Please note that the running times for the event are approximate.
This is an outdoor open air event so please dress according to the weather conditions and please don't forget your sunscreen should the sun make an appearance.
Pride Village and the surrounding areas are alcohol free zones – please do not bring alcohol to the event.
The College Grounds are smoke free, please only smoke cigarettes and e-cigarettes in the designated smoking areas which are clearly signposted.
West Lothian Pride is a dog friendly event, owners should keep dogs on a lead at all times and ensure any dog fouling is lifted and placed within the litter bins provided. A number of dog bowls will be placed throughout the Pride village to ensure thirsty dogs can get a drink.
