World Suicide Prevention Day

The LGBTQ+ community is disproportionately impacted by mental health difficulties and their needs are vital in preventing suicide. Join us when Kip Webb-Heller from MindOut will be providing a training session around mental health, suicide awareness, and how we can approach these topics. Discretion is advised.

Kip Webb-Heller

Kip (he/him, fae/faer) is a qualified teacher and trainee Art Psychotherapist. He joined the MindOut team in January 2022. He is thrilled to be part of an organisation that values wellbeing and responding genuinely to need, as well as understanding mental health as a community issue. Fae are passionate about working with an empathetic, intersectional, and affirming approach. Previously to working at MindOut, Kip was a support worker for adults with Autism, learning disabilities, and/or mental health needs, after training as a teacher. This, alongside faer own life experiences, taught Kip about the importance of being trauma-informed and how vital connecting with our mental health is to all of us. At MindOut, Kip runs suicide prevention support groups, provides individual support to LGBTQ+ people who are dealing with mental health challenges, and delivers training and workshops on many aspects of queer mental health, including trauma and suicide.
