myGwork wraps up WorkPride 2025 with flagship networking event in Madrid, reinforcing LGBTQ+ allyship in the workplace

myGwork – the largest global talent and networking platform for LGBTQ+ professionals and allies – concluded its sixth annual WorkPride conference with its flagship event in Madrid on July 3.

This followed the success of its London event held on June 20, capping off a powerful five-day conference program that ran from June 16 to June 20, attracting thousands of participants from around the world. With over 45 expert-led panels and workshops and more than 200 speakers, WorkPride 2025 delivered dynamic conversations in English and Spanish, actionable insights, and authentic storytelling focused on advancing equity and inclusion for LGBTQ+ professionals.

The closing event in Madrid brought together an influential audience of ERG leaders, senior executives, DEI advocates, and diplomatic figures from countries recognized for their progressive LGBTQ+ policies.

“This year, more than ever, we must come together to support LGBTQ+ professionals and celebrate our progress,” shared Miguel Garzón, myGwork’s Director for Iberia and Latin America, in the event’s opening speech.

The 2025 conference centered around the theme “Your Allyship Starts Here,” with Beatriz Curiel Tormo, Senior HR Business Partner at Clifford Chance, emphasizing the transformative power of allyship in dismantling systemic bias and building inclusive cultures. Her remarks echoed a wider call across industries for leaders to show up ­– and speak up – for marginalized communities.

Adding a global perspective, Antonio López de Ávila, Director of Innovation, Education, and Investment at UN Tourism, highlighted how inclusive tourism fosters human connection and shared understanding across borders.

A highlight of the evening was the tribute to Norway, recognized for its enduring commitment to LGBTQ+ and human rights. The audience was moved by the screening of “Trygg” – a Pride campaign video whose title means “safe” or “protected” – honoring the victims of a tragic attack at an LGBTQ+ venue in Oslo.

myGwork’s co-Founders Adrien and Pierre Gaubert presented the Allyship Award to Nils Haugstveit, Norwegian Ambassador to Spain, in recognition of his leadership in championing safe, inclusive work environments. In his acceptance speech, Ambassador Haugstveit expressed gratitude to myGwork for its pivotal role in driving real change across global workplaces.

The event also featured an inspiring address from Juan Velasco, President of Avegal, who extended an invitation to all myGwork members to take part in the Gay Games XII València 2026 – a celebration of inclusive sports and cultural expression.

Beyond powerful messages and recognitions, the Madrid celebration brought the spirit of Madrid Pride to life. With the support of LVMH, the event honored attendees for the most Queer and Authentic expressions of style, celebrating individuality in the corporate world.
