Pride in Education has announced its 8th annual conference, now reimagined as a dynamic series of free online webinars for the autumn term. In collaboration with Pearson UK and other leading experts, the series aims to advance LGBTQ+ inclusion in schools through six vital training sessions.
Continuing its tradition of empowering educators, this year’s webinar series equips them with tools to create inclusive and supportive learning environments. With anti-trans rhetoric on the rise in the UK, these sessions are more important than ever. Attendees will gain practical strategies to foster diversity, promote student well-being, and ensure that all students – regardless of gender identity, sex characteristics, or sexual orientation – feel safe, valued, and prepared to succeed.
Supported by Pearson’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, this year’s series highlights the critical role education plays in shaping an inclusive future. Pearson’s partnership emphasizes the importance of providing every student with an education that honors and celebrates their identity.
“This series goes beyond training; it’s a movement for meaningful change in education,” said Laïla El-Metoui, Founder of Pride in Education. “Our mission is to transform schools from safe spaces into actively inclusive environments where LGBTIQA+ students can truly thrive.”
Educators are encouraged to take full advantage of this free professional development opportunity. Participants will gain valuable insights and resources to foster classrooms where diversity is embraced, and every student is supported.
