WorkFair 2025: Connecting thousands of LGBTQ+ talent with inclusive career opportunities

WorkFair, the world’s largest virtual careers fair for LGBTQ+ students, graduates, and allies, made its highly anticipated return on November 5, hosted by myGwork. The event was a resounding success, attracting thousands of young, diverse professionals from around the globe eager to connect with inclusive employers.

Thousands of students and graduates not only visited employer booths to apply for hundreds of available roles, but also attended panels and webinars to enhance their job search. The event’s impressive reach was amplified through partnerships with over 200 universities and business schools worldwide, enabling students and graduates to access meaningful career opportunities in inclusive workplaces.

Now in its sixth year, WorkFair continues to spotlight early-career opportunities with employers that champion authenticity and belonging, providing a vital platform for LGBTQ+ talent to connect with companies where they can thrive and truly be themselves.

WorkFair featured hundreds of job openings across diverse sectors such as technology, finance, pharmaceuticals, and media. Global brands and inclusive employers hosted virtual booths, offering direct access to entry-level positions and insights into their diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Participating inclusive employers of choice included Capgemini, Clifford Chance, Danaher, Finastra, Fitch Group, GSK, JTI, Marsh McLennan, Morningstar, MSD/Merck, Omnicom Media Group, Pfizer, RS Group, S&P Global, Santander UK, Standard Chartered, State Street, Taylor Wessing, TELUS Digital, The Trade Desk, VF Corporation, Warner Bros. Discovery, WTW and Yugo.

Beyond job opportunities, WorkFair offered a rich lineup of career development panels and interactive workshops designed to build skills, confidence, and community. Topics ranged from navigating early-career challenges to embracing authenticity in professional spaces.

  • Belonging in Business: LGBTQ+ Pathways into Finance & Consulting
    Professionals from Tokio Marine Kiln, Link | LGBT+ Insurance Network, State Street, Marsh McLennan, Santander UK, and Bank of America shared actionable insights on thriving in fast-paced corporate environments, finding belonging, and fostering inclusion in traditionally conservative sectors.     In collaboration with Fisher Investments, recent graduates from Pfizer, Mercer, Inditex, GSK, and Warner Bros. Discovery shared personal stories about entering the workforce, overcoming challenges, and shaping professional paths with pride amid an increasingly competitive job market. WorkFair also offered hands-on workshops designed to equip attendees with tools for professional growth. They included:

  • Neurodivergent at Work: Thriving as Your Authentic Self
    Led by Sara Chandran, founder of DEI consultancy Fresh and Fearless, this session provided guidance on navigating the job market, communicating needs effectively, and creating a sustainable, authentic career.
  • CVs That Belong: Crafting Authentic Applications with AI
    Career coach Rafal Szaniawski led a workshop showing participants how to craft impactful CVs with AI – highlighting strengths, reflecting values, and showcasing LGBTQ+ experiences as professional assets.
