African Rainbow Family

African Rainbow Family is a registered Charity (Reg. No: 1185902) that advances the education of the public in general about the issues relating to Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender intersexual and queer (LGBTIQ) people of African heritage and the wider Black Asian Minority Ethnic groups. These include LGBTIQ refugees and people seeking asylum. We relieve unemployment amongst LGBTIQ refugees that have been granted status by by the provision of vocational and skills training advice and support. We preserve and protect the physical and mental health of our members through social activities, meetings, conferences etc. We will continue to help, support and nurture each other until our work is no longer needed.

African Rainbow family has over 500 members across the UK. From nothing and with no money African Rainbow family has developed a national network of over 500 people with branches in Manchester, Birmingham, London and Leeds. We run on basically nothing without any funds but volunteers
