About BootyCall

BootyCall is a LGBTQIA + led community interest group founded to raise cancer awareness in queer spaces. Set up by our founder, Dj Dallyn. A gay man who himself was diagnosed with Bowel cancer at the age of 42, he wanted to turn his experience into something positive and bring cancer awareness into queer spaces. Spaces where we don't normally talk about cancer or symptoms.

What We Offer

We raise this awareness by putting on events that bring a fantastic element of camp but with an important message of check symptoms and together we can kick cancers booty. It isn't about making cancer fun but it is about making cancer awareness fun and delivered in a way that people will remember. Such as karaoke in a colon at several pride events this year.

We have also delivered several corporate events. Bringing awareness into more corporate spaces but still with the very important message.

Our Community

Working as part of BootyCall is a fantastic experience. We're bringing awareness into queer spaces in a fun and unique way. It feels like we're really making a difference to the community and we're already receiving feedback that members of the community are getting checked for symptoms.

While as a newly set up community interest group we don't have set equality and diversity initiatives our aim for the group is that we bring cancer awareness into spaces for all members of the LGBTQIA +. Our aim will be to include Black Pride and Disability Prides over the next few years to ensure the demographic we reach is as diverse as possible.
