We are a global business with 91,500 professionals across hundreds of locations worldwide, providing end-to-end IT and business process services that drive our clients’ businesses. In the UK alone, we have around 6,000 CGI Partners working across 19 towns and cities, doing everything from writing complex code to designing sophisticated software solutions. Industrial placements

Our students play a big part in the innovative and lasting solutions we deliver to our clients. A year’s industrial placement—sometimes called a sandwich placement—gives you practical, hands-on experience, surrounded by our friendly and supportive team.

You’ll work alongside business leaders from day one and participate in live projects, allowing you to put theory into practice. An industrial placement with us gives you the opportunity to make a real difference, and with the ownership you’ll take in your work, we hope it leads to a graduate offer to return the following year!

Degree apprenticeships

Choosing a Degree Apprenticeship at CGI means you have the opportunity to grow into many different pathways at one of the world's largest IT and consultancy companies.

Not only will you work towards a bachelor's degree in your choice of IT and business disciplines, but you'll also gain real-world experience and get paid for it. We provide the course resources and materials required, and your tuition fees are fully funded, allowing you to focus on developing your creativity and building a strong foundation for your career.

Our LGBT+ and allies' network

The UK LGBT+ and allies’ network is a CGI Partner led network for members and allies of all sexualities or gender identities. We aim to promote understanding and togetherness across all members. Network members have access to an active Microsoft Teams channel with chat, charity and entertainment channels to share ideas and connect with colleagues.

We hold regular social events, such as quizzes and competitions, and recognise significant days in the LGBT+ calendar with special sessions. We are engaged with the other CGI UK networks and share knowledge and best practice with LGBT+ networks in other organisations in our sector. This allows us some great opportunities to meet others and participate in shared entertainment nights.

Behind the scenes, the network committee works with HR and other teams to ensure CGI is an inclusive place for all. This involves working on policies, recruitment and confidential support for any welfare queries from CGI Partners and managers.
