We're House of Denna, a café, creative workshop venue and community space tucked into Woolwich, South East London. We bring people together over coffee, crafts, events and inclusive connection, and we love being the kind of place where you can pop in for a coffee or stay for a whole evening of making something new.
Community is at the heart of everything we do. We want House of Denna to be that friendly space where you can meet people, unwind, pick up a new skill and connect through shared creative experiences. We see ourselves as a hub for local creatives, and we're passionate about making creativity social, accessible and firmly rooted in South East London.
We build our programming to be inclusive from the ground up, creating a relaxed, welcoming environment where people can come together comfortably. That community-led feel is what makes us more than just a café — it's who we are.
We blend a proper café experience with a full programme of workshops, classes and evening events. Come craft with us at our crochet, knitting, embroidery and journaling sessions, or join us for something livelier like our drag quiz nights, karaoke evenings and supper clubs.
We also open our doors for private workshop bookings, so if you're planning something with a group, you can pick your date and choose the creative class that suits you. Whether you're after hospitality, creativity or a full event experience, we've got the mix to make it happen.
We're proud to create a welcoming space for the LGBTQ+ community, and we back that up with dedicated events like our Monthly Queer Craft Social and Queer Craft Club. These are relaxed, welcoming spaces where queer crafters and allies can connect, create and share skills together.
Our events programme also features drag-hosted entertainment, and we've been proud to feature in local LGBTQ+ History Month listings for our queer craft social programming here in Woolwich. We want every visitor to feel that House of Denna is openly inclusive, community-minded and affirming — because that's exactly what we're aiming for.
