About Us

We are Journey. A not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ professionals working in the transport sector. Our aim is to provide a safe and inclusive space for networking, professional development, and advocacy.

Join us on our journey to create a more diverse and equitable industry for all. Journey was founded in 2023 by a group of LGBTQ+ colleague networks operating in the UK transport industry; in aviation, consultancy, engineering, maritime, rail and road. It was recognised that there was an opportunity to learn from each other’s experiences, to share best practice, and to hold a mirror up to our parent organisations.

We push for consistent excellence across the industry in terms of the inclusion and visibility of LGBTQ+ colleagues and the accessibility of our services to LGBTQ+ customers, as well as their physical and psychological safety once on board.

Working at Journey

The Journey leadership is formed of a group of individuals; LGBTQ+ network leaders past and present and D&I professionals, who have the capacity to devote their time to Journey in addition to their day jobs and existing network responsibilities. Our roles at Journey are entirely voluntary.
