what does it consist of?

EVS (European Voluntary Service) is an international volunteering programme funded by the European Commission. It allows young people aged between 17 and 30 who are legally resident in Europe to carry out international voluntary service in an organisation or public authority in Europe, Africa, Asia or South America for a period of between 2 weeks and 12 months .

EVS provides reimbursement of travel expenses and full coverage of accommodation and subsistence costs. Thanks to its intercultural dimension and non-formal approach, EVS is a unique opportunity to get to know different cultures and acquire new skills and abilities that will be useful for personal and professional growth .

The European Voluntary Service (EVS) supports international voluntary work by young people. Its aim is to develop solidarity and promote tolerance among young people, in order to strengthen social cohesion in the European Union. It promotes active citizenship and mutual understanding among young people.
